World Balloon furnishes a training balloon, instructor, a crew person, vehicle, propane, and insurance for $300.00 per flight hour. Minimum of one hour per outing. Check Ride $450.00 private, $490.00 commercial. See discounted rates below when enrolling in Packaged Courses.

World Balloon furnishes instructor for $150 per flight hour. Check ride with instructor as crew, $300 private, $340 commercial. Minimum one hour per outing. Customer supplies balloon, vehicle, crew, vehicle, fuel, insurance.  See below for discounts when enrolling in Packaged Courses.

PRIVATE PILOT OR ADDITIONAL AIRCRAFT RATING

(under FAR Part 141 Flight School)

Check Ride includes 2 WB personnel and examiner.. $425

Training manuals and logbooks are available to students at their own expense.  The above package price includes both pre-flight briefings and post-flight critiques and prep for check ride, but assumes the student has either passed the written or is currently a Pilot Certificate holder as formal ground school is not included in price.

COMMERCIAL PILOT RATING

(under FAR Part 141 Flight School)............ $2,750

10 hours Flight Training, 8 flights min. (including solo time), check ride additional.  Student must be enrolled in our Part 141 private flight curriculum, or have a Private Pilot Certificate.   Commercial ground school is not included.

PRIVATE:   Curriculum consists of 3 stages: FAR's and other gov’t publications; weather; navigation/map usage, balloon theory/ flight fundamentals. Series of quizzes to prepare for FAA written exam included. Course requires min. 18 hours to complete (avg. 25 hrs).

COMMERCIAL:   Curriculum consists of 3 stages: FAR's, weather and navigation review; repair/inspection procedures; flight/ground instruction. Includes quizzes.  Course requires min. 20 hours to complete (avg. 30 hrs).
